Prunus Lusitanica 80-100cm 7L

Prunus Lusitanica is also known as the Portuguese Laurel. It is ideal for hedging or as an attractive ornamental tree that will tolerate being trimmed to topiary shapes. It is easy to grow.

This evergreen has dark purple stems that contrast with the deep green leaves. In summer there will be small, fragrant white flowers and these are followed by small, dark purple fruits. This tree will grow to approx 12x8 metres over 10-20 years if left unpruned. If pruning is necessary to maintain a particular size, then do this in mid-late Spring.
